Default real hard time getting tranny off

im in the works of fixing my clutch and have everything done up to wiggling the tranny off. do you need a serious amount of muscle to get this thing off? i shake it from side to side and the whole motor shakes but the tranny wont budge. ive taken all of the bolts off and tried wedging a screw driver in between it and the block, but nothing. anybody have any tips? this is getting on my last nerve

EDIT: 1000th post

For automatic I would think that you didn't separate drive plate from converter.
Is there anything like that in manual?

be very very very very creful when you do this. you can pry the tranny off. dont go to much and make sure to work the tranny off. meaning dont sit in one spot. you will crack the tranny if prying in one spot. work it off. but more then likely you forgot a bolt somewhere...look around the rear mount.

you still have a bolt or two in...no matter what you say, theres at least 1 still there
Did you remove the starter?

agreed....if you have everything out the tranny will come right out/off with a little bit of fanageling....I was in the same predicament with my buddies trans and we thought we had them all out but there was one sneaky bolt in the back that we had missed.
