hey guys, havent been on in a while (damn that job thing at oreilly) i finally got a motor, my boyfriend's brother is selling me his 96 b18b and tranny as well as ecu for a lovely and cheap 300 bucks. also, to top it off, nothing is wrong with any of it! *gasp* its goin into my lil eg6. possibly have an obd1 ecu lined up for trade or in the $25-$50 range, if not, got a friend that can chip it for me and gotta blow $240 on a new dist (dorman made and yes thats at employee pricing, ridiculous) as well as another ~$100 for the axles, other then that, its all good to go. gonna wait to boost it (dont make enough money for all that shit right now) thought i would say hi and let yall know whats goin on, hope yall had a good new year

oh by the way, im leaving it an auto, better for boost in the long run IMO

An auto isn't better for boosting. A honda automatic tranny is the weak link and will take a dump on you.

Good find on the motor, though.

If you're keeping it auto, get a sport-shift kit, a torque converter upgrade, a good transmission fluid cooler, and change ATF more frequently.

guys, c'mon thats obvious shit right there, its a weak ass tranny, i know itll have to be built and the better for boost in the long run comment is an IMO
