Default koni suspension adjstment

i have installed some koni yellow suspension to my honda civic 1994 hatch. it says that the suspension is ride ajustable by turning the knob at the top of the strut. which way do i need to turn it to make it a more softer ride and how much do i need to turn it as it keeps going around as much as u want?

thanks

If they are Koni yellows you need to turn it counter-clockwise to stiffen it. It should stop before 2 full turns (not keep spinning and spinning).

Default civic koni yellow ride height

ok thanks for that another question is that there are two heights that the lower perch can sit on if i put it to the lowest one will it make the car more lower. i have 40mm GMX springs on there and at the moment there on the top height. if i move the perch to the lowest position will this mess up the springs/shocks ?. thanks

no, it will just make it sit even lower and you will need another alignment

didnt you get a knob with the shocks?

I don't recommend going ot the next lower perch unless you have some stiff springs. You have a chance of bottoming out the shock which can damage the shock.

The Lower Perch's on koni's are for lowering you car with stock springs. If you are using lowering springs of any type you should be in the middle perch setting. if you have 3 groves and the top if you only have 2 groves. ( if you have 5 groves, middle is where you want to be also.

thanks for that. i have gmax 40 mm lowered springs and have 2 grooves im using the top grove. but the thing is that ive installed the shock and spring but the car does not lower. ive even installed spax 40mm springs on standard shocks but still the car doesnot get lower. the way i done it was put the spring in the shoc using compressor and then tighten the top bit of the shock. when i put it in the car i put the top bolts ina nd the bottom arm. the spax springs have more coils coiled up at the top of the spring then the gmax springs, why is that?

thanks
