Default HID in projectors???

OK, i saw some projectors on a 2000 civic, (regular halogen bulbs) and there was a cut off line, actually looked pretty good. Can you put a HID conversion into a projector headlight? Howw does it look compared to the regular stock halogen headlight?

Yes, you can put the H3 kit in the projectors. The advantage is you get a nice "cutoff" line. The disadvantage is the beam/light pattern is really bad due to the cheap design of the projector housing.

It looks good, but functionality isnt that great.

As in stock OEM lamps?

Yes, I havent heard any complaints from people who have done the conversion for functionality and looks.

That is the disadvantage of the OEM housing with HID kits. Neither of them were made for HID in the first place anyway.

I dont think you can go wrong with the kits in either case though. They are noticibly brighter and better than stock. They are pretty cheap nowadays too [340-400] considering they were around 5-600 a year or two ago.

I personally would just go for the H4 kit b/c it is already made for the stock housing.

The CL ballasts/kit would be cool, but I think it would take some modifications to the housing to make it work. There is another guy on this board that frequents the Accord forum who makes custom HID lights using Porsche, BMW, or Audi HID lights into the Accord stock housing lamps. I think the CL lights would cost a pretty penny too. But if you have the money and the patience to do the modifications....I'd say go for it
