Default Tranny

I have a jdm b16 and I believe I need to rebuild the tranny. Is it worth it or is there another tranny out there that is worth swapping it with?

What makes this tranny good? I realize that my rpm are high all the time, like in 5th gear doing like 60 im at 3,000 rpm.

Rebuilding a transmission is one of the only jobs I'm not willing to tackle, but if you're up to it (or you know somebody who will do quality work for a decent price) go for it. I personally would probably just look for a good used transmission (go LSD if you don't already have one). If you do chose to rebuild, an LS 5th gear would be quite useful for the commute.
