Default car turns wont start, been sitting 5 mo

girlfriends car....it has been sitting for about 5 months and it wont start. it turns over but it turns over real quick. (like no compression) fuel kicks on and you can smell that. spark....well...it has new rotor, cap, plugs, wires. just installed. also new igniter, coil. i checked for spark with plug in wire and it wasnt there all the time. random i guess. on then no spark then spark. i got the car to putt-putt (best way to describe it sorry) after a long time of cranking it. rpms did register but it woouldnt idle on its own and this was flooring it. sorry for the long story but i dont want any body saying stuff like....you probaly flooded it or something along that line. any suggestions?

Get some air intake cleaner and spray it in the intake manifold. Hold the gas down and crank it for 10 sec. If no sputter try again. It would also be a good idea to use some HEET in the tank to get rid of any water in your lines.

i have had the jumper cables on from my other honda. the battery dies out from cranking for so long so i need to jump it. i will try the injector cleaner....i will keep all informed. anybody know anything about "compression restore" or something similiar? the dist. is known good due to testing on another civic. just to clarify. everything i mentioned (cap, rotor, plugs, wires, coil, igniter, dist) was installed.....i could take pics of reciepts? lol

How many miles on the car...mine sat for along time and would crank but not start...took it to my mechanic after I exhausted all avenues. He pulled the plugs and put some motor oil directly into the cylinders, reinstalled the plugs and it started. Smoked like a mother and then it was fine. I assume my rings were bad and/or valves worn and not enough compression to get it to start. Good luck
