Default Troubleshooting Accessory Plug 99 Civic

Can anyone offer any advice on how to get my accessory plug working again? Already took out the center console to check the connection in the dash. Also, after looking under the hood found the same color wires that run from the back of the accessory plug. Is it safe to assume that these are the same wires or could the wires be coming from somewhere else? Thanks in advance for any help.

It's just not working. Tried plugging my radar detector and several other things into it. None work.

ah hyou mean the cig lighter.. ok.

Do you have a voltmeter? or at least a test light?

If so check the 2 wires heading into it for 12v power. One of them should have it with the ignition in the on position.

Check your fuses, you have a 10amp fuse specifically for the plug.

I doubt the wires under the hood are the same thing, but its possible.

I think they just run off of the fuse box 12v however. So check your wires right after the console and get back to us
