Default 99-00 dash panel into a 98 EX?

I have a 98 Civic EX and Im wondering if its possible to put the 99-00 dash panel instead? I like the fact its a double din dash. Has this been done and if so is there alot of modifications needed?

The climate control system is a bit different. Here is a DIY: http://repo.jackmoves.com/album228

you can, you have to swap the whole dash out though not just the climate control....thats why i dont really think its worth it unless you could get it out of a junk yard for cheep

yes it can be done, you just need to swap a 99 climate control unit into it. As the dash is the same except the climate control thingy.

not 100% true.
There are slight differences between the dashboards but you can make it work with a 96-98 dash. you just need to find a way to keep the climate controlls in the dash. the opening is slightly different so the clips on the edge of the 99-2k controlls wont clip to anything.

It's a major conversion. You need all the internals beneath the dash too. IE the blower etc...... Not worth the trouble IMO unless you have the know how, parts and time.
