if youre using hondata, uberdata or crome then it doesnt matter what ecu you use as long as its compatable with those programs. and no other stock ecu would run better than the one thats made for the H22

p13 is the h22 ecu.

p28 would run completely wrong, unless chipped

stock P28 and P72 will not run the H22 correctly unless chipped or piggybacked by Hondata or some type of engine management.

What about a JDM B16 motor, should I run the JDM B18 Type-r ecu or jdm b16 ecu?

Stick with a B16A computer. A B18C* computer will not run as well because it is programmed for a higher displacing, better performing engine. The timing maps, fuel maps, and fuel cut won't be right for your engine.

It weird I put the b16 and the car idles real low and the type-r ecu seemed to run harder, but everyone says that you should stick to the ecu for the motor.

Don't believe the butt dyno. I would be willing to bet if I stuck another identical B16A computer in your car and promised a ten horsepower gain, you would "feel" it. It's purely psychological.

So why do you think the idle is low it looks like it is ready to turn off sometimes but the b18 ecu doesnt make it idle as low.

If you are using the computer that matches the engine and it idles low, the problem isn't the computer.
