Default B16YB Head Help???

Is it possible to bolt up any series of B16 DOHC-VTEC to a 1996-2000 B16Yb SOHC-VTEC??? If so how much trouble will it be? Will the oil passages and cooling passages line up or will it require and machine work? Don't know if anyone has tried this or not, sorry for asking if there is already a post on here about this. Normally I read all the post before asking questions. Can anyone help me?

what in gods name is a b16yb????????

Either way (whatever you mean), you cannot put a dohc head on an sohc block.
People have tried it...it just doesnt work.

Sorry, typo, yes a d16y8 is what my buddy says he has. you sais it's not possible to put a DOHC CH on that. Why can you put a f22B head on a f22a1 block then? Not aking to be a smart ass. Just wondering what the difference is.

That is like the I before E rule. There are always exceptions...lol but D and B wont ever mix, And if it could wouldn't be worth it.

Edit : the ZC is a dohc motor top and bottom... You could do the brown top vs black top... or something like that Not to sure about that...so dont quote me on that one

The ZC is not a B series head. IIRC, the ZC head would fit on any D series bottom.
