transmission question
i am considering changing my 1994 civic from automatic to stick shift be cause i think the automatic tranny is going out cause it has seen alot better days plus i got my ass handed to me by a stock chevy caviler because of that tranny. i would like to find out how much it should cost to get a manual transmission and how much it should cost to have it installed.
the car was not stock when i got it. it was making about 115 - 120 when i got it so I jus made an estamate those were jus parts that i added not what my dad did
aprox. 150 hp at wheels
parts list:
Short ram air intake
throtle body spacer
milled & port & polished SOHC valve head

Theres no way that youre putting down 150 with just those mods...
(And that throttle body spacer isnt doing anything at all, along with the dizzy)
How-to for integra: http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1255332
How-to for EK: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1337459
Read over, the swap is basically the same, just so you know what youre getting into. Make sure you get an ex/si transmission, or it will all be a giant waste of time.
Anything a shop does will cost 5x more than it should.
