will the wiring harness from my old d16z6 work on the b16a2? the problem is that some of the wires on the b16 harness were not in the right place to go into my 92 si hatch. so my friend took the harness, opened it up, and relocated some plugs(not extending them). now we put it in. and no start... so i took it to a shop. the distributer was gone, and the alternator siezed. had those changed, and now my mechanic says that some of the wires/plugs or in the wrong way. he wants my original d16z6 harness to put in. this b16 is a NIGHTMARE.

can plugs BE mixed up? i mean, dont they just fit in 1 way?

the problem now is... the car starts, but it idles so low that it cuts out... mechanic wants to use the d16z6 harness in place of the b16. but that doesnt sound right to me. if the car starts but just doesnt idle, wouldnt that just be one of the plugs are no good, or mabye timing is off or somthing?
