ive seen a stock d handle 308. its all about tuning. a stock d can handle more then most would think. just by adding some vitara pistons and tuner toys rods, u can handl 300 and not worry about it. and that is about 500 bux and thats including acl bearings

By just turbo'ing the D16Y8, will it give you the HP gains your talking about at the wheel while running on the stock exhaust setup or do you still need to upgrade the whole works?

The whole project would then equate to over 1k in total, possibly 2k. Alot of time and maintenence involved in putting everything together if I may add.

Not worth it to me on these econoboxes but, hey whatever floats your boat.

2.5 i believe.
Exhaust is really importent because on my set up ive got the stock cat and 2in exaust on it and its definently hurting spool time. I plan on talking to kteller and picking up a 3in exhaust
