Default 1991 1.6 si motor computer question

i have a 1992 civic with an 1991 si motor and it needs an ecu computer and wiring harness. i was wondering if they are hard to install? i only bought this car for 200 bucks..thank you. sorrie for posting moe then once idont no how to delete the old post.

if it has the 91 si motor you have a d16a6. The closest factory obd1 ecu that will work for you is the p06. Use a factory 92-95 civic dx or lx wiring harness, and the p06 ecu. It's not gonna run perfect but it'll run pretty good. You could also use the actual obd0 1991 civic SI computer but that would require an obd1-obd0 wiring harness.

4 10mm bolts and three plugs for the computer

the wiring harness takes a while though

i called this guy and he said its not possible for the car to run with that motor he said we watch to much 2 fast to furious lol..so a 1992 honda civic will run with a 1991 civic si motor? and it also needs a intake manifold those arnt that hard to installare they? sorrie for asking all the question.

the guy you talked to is a douche.

If you need an intake manifold try to get one from a 92-95 civic with a d15b2 or d16z6 engine. Either will work.

That engine will work fine, you just have to switch the electronics over to the obd1 electronics. You will have to do some distributor pinout wiring as well

I would stay away from the pm6 ecu.. instead try and find a p06.

That intake manifold is the correct one but I would try and find one that is complete with throttle body, fuel rail, fuel injectors, and all sensors.
