Venom 400 Control Module , anybody ???
Okay, so im looking at this Venom 400 Control Module. It says it modifies the ECU's fuel maps when it senses a need for more power and supposedly increases horsepower by 25%. I have a buddy that had one on his 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse and he says he felt a definate boost. Does anyone here have any experience or knowledge of these things ????

i just looked at your set up and you don't need to ask the same question in 2 threads. UNLESS YOU BOOST YOUR CAR ( TURBO, SUPERCHARGER ) a boost controller and venom control module WILL NOT DO ANYTHING !!! YOU CAN'T GET ANY MORE POWER OUT OF YOUR CAR. EITHER SWAP IN A B SERIES OR BOOST THE FUCK OUT OF IT.....
it is just this guy has asked the same question twice in a row and each time we told him THEY suck but he swears his friend is getting 25+ horses running a boost controller with no boost....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....
THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING PEOPLE UNLESS YOU GOT BOOST !!!!

See, the reason I asked twice is because people have a habit of gettin really off-topic in the threads. I was asking about thses "gadgets" and then people start talkin about what motor i should get for a swap that i never asked about. I WISH I COULD AFFORD A SWAP, but i cant. therefore i dont ask about em.
All the Venom 400 will do for you will make you car respond quicker to throttle position. In other words it tells your ECU that you at full throttle earlier than when it actually happens. Thats what it means when it says "reducing flat spots during hard acceleration" it elimates several values between 1/2 throttle and full throttle, making it run richer while reducing fuel economy.
this thread makes my head hurt....unless you are boosted or nitrous dont worry about any "chips", or piggy backs that claim shit...your stock ECU is set what it is set at for a damn good reason, Honda didnt "jip" you out of hp cause the hate you, they put it to the best of its abilities as a stock/almost stock motor....you want horsepower, shove some psi in it.
