Default best color for repaint

last sat some guy hit me . i'm planning to use the money to repaint my 93 civic 3rd black .it is red right now and it's just stands out too much for cops. i notice there many colors in black . i am woundering which type of black would be the nicest to repaint for just color in genral.

depends on if you want to do an outside job or the whole car. if you want just an outside job, all of your door jams, engine bay and trunk jams will still be red. if you want to spend more $$ to have the engine yanked out and that sprayed along w/ the door and trunk jams go for it. honda's onyx black pearl is an okay black. if you want black black check out some mercedes paint chips along with a few gm or chysler blacks. of course the options are endless, mixing the paint differently to a custom hue, using a pearl or a flake. its all about how much coin you are willing to drop on a paint job, and what brand of material you use for prep and the paint itself. if you have some $$ and want a custom show car paint job that u can floss ur teeth in pm me.... my dad is a custom painter, he has done ferrari's lambo's benz's everything. some of his jobs have won countless best paint awards at many car shows. but as i already said its all about $$ and research on what you really want.
