Default Repairing gauge cluster

I recently obtained a new gauge cluster for my CX and was trying to calibrate the fuel meter, but when I tried to pry out the needle, the metal pin holding the needle on snapped in half. Now I'm left with no needle on my fuel meter. I'm thinking about trying to solder the metal piece back on, but before I do that, do any of you know any easier way to repair this? Thanks.

as far as I know, soldering or gluing are your only options...

Those pesky needles... If that's too much trouble (or doesn't hold) I'm sure you can pick up a used CX cluster for cheap (under $90)

hmm...usually when the needle goes, it is gone. I heard a lot of people snapping their needles while trying to install indiglos. They never work the same again.

well I tried some super glue and it did absolutely nothing. But I'm not gonna give up yet. I got a new idea involving styrofoam (sp?). I'm gonna get a little piece of it, punch the needle through it, then try and attach the styrofoam to the back where the needle is supposed to attach. Sounds ghetto but if it works I could care less. I'll let you guys know if it works.

I think your needles would be off if you solder/put anything that changes its weight.
Might just wanna get a new cluster to be safe.

Yes, I wouldn't suggest going too ghetto on repairing such an important part. I'm sure you can get one off eBay.
