You get an intake and exhaust, and you think your car is gonna be faster w/ it. Really, it helps a little, but i dont believe enough to be able to tell. Like Schmoo said, its mainly because of the louder sound. Its just all in your head.
in that case, what can u do to actually make ur car go faster?

The only way to make good power on a Honda, is boost. There's no two ways about it. Build and boost, or just boost. Dont bother trying all motor on a D series. B, H, and K series motors are great on all motor, but certainly not the cheapest way!

Dont forget to tune. That's the most important part about building. I also agree w/ not getting I/H/E just a waste of money.

D SERIES = BORN FOR BOOST!! all motor on a D16 will be expensive and pointless. Boost the hell outta your friggin D and just sit back and chill.

some exhausts are angled to minimize the pipe bends to the muffler for maximum flow. RSR GT2 for example comes straight out from the exhaust manifold and bends once to point out torwards the opening of the rear bumper.

the cheaper exhaust systems that retain all factory bends while still coming out of the rear angled are all for appearance and cosmetics.

as for magazine results...i dont believe any of them. they are paid to do articles on the products, and most of their setups are not typical anyway.
