Default Air Intake Installation Problem: 97 Civic LX

Hey wassup everyone. I am installing a cold air intake in my 97 Civic LX. I got the first half in, but the second half of the intake is giving me trouble (more specifically, the filter). It fits good, but once its time to put on the filter, I just cant seem to fit it in at the bottom of the engine. The pipe goes down into a nice fit, but that filter doesnt seem to fit anywhere down there. Is there something I need to remove?

Did you take out the white resonator box?

You cannot miss it. If you have the bumper off it's a very large (about the size of a bread box) box right underneath the passenger's side headlight. Some cars are white some are black.

Take it out. Unless you know a way to fit the resonator and filter in the same spot using hyperextrapolation of the infinite power

In the past it took me longer to get the resonator out with the bumper on. It was actually quicker for me to take my bumper off (5 plugs on the top and 2 on each side) and then get the resonator off.
