Relax dude, nobody is questioning your intelligence.

What i meant by bottoming out their shocks is putting too much stress on them to where they cannot handle it. Im sure they can handle a 2" drop, but for how long is the question. Ask CivicSIRacer, he is one that i learned this from in a post.

I'll sadly probably get some koni yellows with coil overs. I dont want to get some springs and have the drop be too low, or get a set of springs and be like "shit i should have went lower".
That's fine and all, but i just really think you will regret going w/ coilovers because of the ride comfort. I would never sacrifice comfort over anything IMO. Anything from a 1.5-2" drop is perfect for civics. If you get something in that range, you will be fine, especially with some Koni Yellows or Tokico Illuminas hence the 5-way adjustability. With that being said, you can lower or raise your ride a little w/ just the shocks.

Why do you say sadly get koni yellows?

oh no i said that a little backwards, i meant sadly the coilovers. I know the koni's are awsome shocks. I'll be getting the shocks pretty soon, but probably the springs or coilovers after x-mas so i still have a little time to change my mind and what not.

I know for a fact my car has springs on it now, but it dosent seem that low, i would like it at least 1'' lower in the front, and like 1.5'' lower in the rear. It just looks like the rear is higher than the front now. I dont want to get some springs and have them be the same, or a tiny bit lower than it alread is. Hell for all i know it could just have different springs on at stock height.

Im gonna keep telling you not to get coilovers, because i dont want you to regret it and end up spending more money in the end. They ride like shit on a civic, and i will argue it to anyone that disagrees. Would you want to be as low as I am w/ a 2.3F and 2R drop? Give me an exact drop you want to be at, and we will get thru this together!

Ill take some pics of my car today and show you what i mean. Ill be having the OEM front end with a lip, i have the OEM rear bumper with a lip, and ill be changing my side skirts to something more suddle. Right now i have some rice POS front bumper on there that i hate. That itself lowers the front end.

Im not real sure, ill be using 16'' rota grids with probably a 205/45/16 tire. I really dont like having a big gap at all in the wheel well area. I would like the front bumper to be about 2-3 off the ground though. Right now i rub is some spots but i got used to driving and know what roads i need to hit at angles and what not. I measured it and my front bumper is like 4 inches off the ground...but the ass is about 10 and sideskirts like 6 or so. So you see what i mean. I would like to drop it somewhat but still ahve some ground clearance.

The car will be parked in the winter so thats not really a problem becasue we get crazy snow up here at times.

Ill snap a few pics of what im talking about and maybe we can try to figure out a height.

thanks for all the help 1995civic, i really appreciate it.
