I replaced the shocks and springs at the same time. The shocks are KYB AGX and springs are H&R Sport Springs. Obviously the setup isnt too shady.
I actually switched the tires back to stock as well. My 14" wheels (standard for a 99 DX HB) are still rubbing.
Dont get me wrong, they arent rubbing everytime I turn and I dont bottom out on every bump in the road. It usually rubs when I am turning either up or down on a slight incline or decline in the road. I have just noticed a huge difference from my last coil-over drop compared to the spring drop I have now.
Maybe another solution is to add a sway bar or buy tires with a stiffer sidewall to prevent the car from rolling to the point of rubbing? To me that seems like an overkill to fix a lowering issue.
