Default clutch pedal prob...

my clutch pedal has about a inch of travel when u tap on it... like free space before it actually disengages the clutch...its all loose in that 1in any idea what to do?

check your fluids

check the MC

tighten the screws behind the pedal.

is it stock? mine has that "loose travel" also but it's stock...

all clutch pedals have that 1-inch of travel. It is called "free play" it is adjustable too, so if you want to get rid of it, I guess you can. In the chilton's manual, it says that the free play should be 0.6-0.8 inches.

So, I would just leave it the way it is. That would be my advice. Probably there for a reason.

if u wanna adjust it, where the pedal engages into the master cylinder, there is a nut u can screw. the more u screw it, the pedal will go in further eliminatin ur play. i did this to my friends accord when i swap his auto tranny out and threw in a h22 5 spd.
