Default dash rattle

I just took over a 2000 Civic EX that has been my daughter's car for 4 years. It has a terrible rattle in the center of the dash. The plastic panel that supports the radio and heating/AC controls is very loose even though the screws that hold it in seems to be tight. Any suggestions on getting rid of the aggrevating rattle and squeaks?

I think there's supposed to be some metal clips that the screws go through.

Does it have an aftermarket stereo in it, or is it stock?

If it's stock, and nobody's been in the dash, you can bet you'll have to rig something to make it stop rattle/buzzing.

If it's got an aftermarket stereo in it, you can bet something was left out, installed wrong, broken or misalligned when it was put back together.

My whole car rattles. But that can be attributed to my sound system. mm a small list would be my left and right door panels, the whole dash assembly, rear deck, rear deck light, the spot where the seat belts come out, and the lock for the rear seats.

if you know how to remove the dash panel, try to tighten all the screws and make sure ther's no loose or screws missing.
