When the fuel light turns on you usually have 2-3 gallons left.

fuel light
i was wondering because i just took my '97 ex on a long trip and at one particular town, the needle was covering the red mark, but the light still did not come on. when i filled up it took about 10.2 gallons. in my manual it says the tank is 11.9 gallons so i just wasn't sure.

Some cars came with it in the 90s and some didn't. What kind of Civic do you have? I Know my 1993 Civic Ex didn't have a fuel light.

1992 LX, produced in 1991. Does it really cost that much more to have a fuel light? I always gamble on the reserve tank bcause I drive around with the needle almost to E, my friends hate me for scraing them.
