tach question
Is it ok to wire the red wire straight to the + battery? Or do I have to wire it to the ignition wire. I cant really find the ignition wire and Ive already got a wire wired to the battery. Please help

you can wire it to the fuse panel under the dash, right to the fuse for the cd/tape player, or something that is always on when you start your car. thats what i did and mine worked fine. i took it out a few months down the road anyway. :lmao:

any 12v source will work.. just depends on when u want it to turn on / off & what not & make sure that your not over loading any circuit by increasing your draw.. something lik e a tach really doesn't use much power so it shouldn't matter

Holy double THREAD batman!
Doood. Go buy a 12V test light. $1.99 at any parts store. Probe for voltage with the key on and off and you'll find a powered wire that only works with the ignition on.
