OK, I have a 93 Hatch that I just got as a hand-me-down from my wife and it's an AUTO!!!
It's bone stock. Is it worth it to put in a 5speed with the stock D15 or should I just sell it and get another eg with a 5speed already in it? Keep in mind I know this car has no problems engine wise since we have owned the car for the last 5 years and I'd hate to buy another WITH problems. Does that make any sence?

IMO it's too much crap to mess around with. If it has NO problems, that's all the more reason to sell it for a little more, also considering it's bone stock. Buy yourself another EG 5spd as close to stock as possible. Good luck
Once again.. i have to argue with u guys about this. It's not hard to do!
if u have any type of connections at all with a local junk yard it would be easy. I know i sure as hell wouldn't wanna get rid of a car that i knew was in perfect running condition for something that u have no idea the history of!
the hell with all u guys that are scared to convert!
i've done it b4 & will do it again

Don't swap just the tranny. Toss the SOHC. If you want a manual that bad, but don't want any performance, it would be easier to sell the car since there are so many people looking for a fuel efficient - easy-to-drive car.
