My 1996 Civic is currently leaking water in on the passenger side floor when it rains. What causes this and how can it be fixed??

If you have a sunroof there are drainages around the sunroof area (either 2 or 4) holes that need to be cleaned out once in awhile or they will clog up.

you sure it only happens when it rains?

just checking, because if your heater core goes out, your passenger side floorboard will get wet often.

I have the same problem, I have no sunroof and it's never coolant, just rain water. Do you guy think it is anything other than the windshild seal? I'm getting a new windshield soon. Hoping that would fix it....

I know I have a leak. What will the rust spots tell me other than I have water coming in the car? It rains. I go out to the car. there is a puddle in my plastic floor mats. It drips from under the dash. Is that a windshield seal problem?
