Default I need a new car

I am thinking about purchasing a brand new 2006 Civic at the beginning of '06. I am thinking about biting the bullet and getting the Si. I know there isn't much info on the models yet, but i was wondering if I could get some input on this decision. Do you think it's worth the cash.

Personally, I would never buy a car that I had to put full coverage insurance on. I'm a cheap skate though. How about the 3 big ol' door dings I've got in the last 6 weeks? Pisses me off. For some people, they have to have a new car, and without them, there would never be used cars. The '06 is really sweet. If you're the "gotta have a new car person", go for it. If you like to have extra cash for road trips and stuff, buy a car you can write a check for.

If i were you i would wait a year or two to see what people think of it. What the reviews are and all of that jazz. Honda's hold their value well, but in two years you will have more info on it and see how car enthusiasts rate it, and also it will be cheaper.

I would wait a few years as well... Let Honda find any problems, so they can correct them. I know a guy that bought the EX, says he loves it, however, with the SI they were asking close to 30k, which IMO is too much for a civic.

If you can, i would deifinently hold off for a little bit before jumping on the car. It looks like its gonna be pretty nice but that cramped engine bay is gonna make modifications difficult. So waiting to se what can or cant be done could be a good idea. However, if you cant wait and need the car i wouldnt worry because any major flaws that are found are gonna be covered under your factory warrenty
