Default Breaking in a Clutch?

I just did a TON of work on my car, including a new clutch kit. I just read in another post where someone asked the guy if he broke the clutch in right...

Please, How do you break in a clutch???

no hard downshifting, etc... break it in on city streets and don't hold on to the clutch too much either

Yeap, for 100 miles i took easy back roads, then at 200 i used the highway but shifted at 5 grand every time, when i got to 400 i started to get a little rough on it to make sure everything was gonna work like i wanted it to.

Correct. Which means, no high revving, no launching, no hard shifting, no hard downshifts, no riding the clutch...be very easy on it.

Sounds like the jury has a verdict! Thanks guys. So what happens if the clutch isn't broken in correctly?

It's amazing how much of a difference there was from the old one.

You can glaze the clutch disk and pressure plate, causing it to have premature wear and slip very soon into its life.
