Quick poll...
Hypothetic situation:
Limited funds and beginner in modifications (like me).....
What is your priority during your modication process...
Looking fast - ie. rims, body kits, wings, stickers
OR
Going fast - ie. engine mods, suspension..
IMHO... i'd rather go fast. it's a trip to see what looks like a stock car kick some fancy shiny car at the line...
reason i ask is because a few kids here where i live do nothing but modify a car to sound and look good, or at least that's their priority.

A compromise in between performance and looks while staying in my budget.

When I first got my car, it was about the looks, and a little about power. That's cause I didn't know jack when I got it. Start slow with an intake and other bolt ons to get some experience. Then go nuts. Thinking back, I'd rather have a car on steelies with a built b18 than all the **** I've poured into my car...
i like the looks alot, and thats what im doing with my car, to a point, but then in a year or so i am doign a swap and getting some "go". so i would say do alittle both. cause theres no reason to look fast and not be, but no reason to be fast if no one will know. atleast that my opinion

An ideal route (be it looks or speed) would be the suspension first. Get quality spring, shocks and bars. Then work on the motor. By that time, work on the brakes and new wheels.

The first mod you should get (that a lot of people forget about) is an alarm. You drive a Civic, #4 on the most stolen list. Around once every month or two, someone will come on here and say that their car got jacked...don't let that be you. Before you do anything else, get an alarm. It won't make your car unstealable, but it will help, and every little bit helps.
