Sometimes it just wont start

Hey guys I have an auto 2000 civic. Sometimes it wont start (no clicking no noise) when I mess with the automatic gear (move it back and forth) It will startup. Has anyone has this problem?

Clearly your problem is in you shifter assembly,
have it checked by a certified automotive tech.good luck.

OK today it makes a loud clunk when I put it in reverse... also the rpms go higher when changing it to reverse.??
