Default Anybody know how to register JDM RHD?

I bought a 99 CTR straight from Japan, but now I need to know how to register it. I have heard of a couple of ways, but I need to know if anybody has actually done it. The car is completely JDM, not one of those cars that the kind where they weld the Japanese clip and the OEM rear. Please help. Greatly appreciate it. Thanks

How did you get it over here? Did you have to do the whole thing where you find an agent, then they find the car, set it up to be shipped, and then you have to take care of the inspection and registration?

Goddamnit, I want a RHD so bad. Two people in one week got one on here.

well i know from some articles in the past, you needed to get it approved before you bring it here, via DOT *department of transportation* if not it cannot be licesne in the good ol USA so i would start with who ever got it over here for you, if it was done illegally then you might need to get another shop who normally does this kind of stuff to help you with all the paperwork

if it was approved thru dot then you should have a doccument a bill of sale and the car and take them all to the local dmv from there you will have to deal with local epa and polution controll issues

I read a 7 page article on how hard it is to register one. But they do say you can hire an agent to find the car, bring it over to the states, and do all the paper work, dmv, dot stuff. It's a no hassle solution, but it costs about 10k$ for the agents work + the cars price, DOT changes, paperwork, registration, emissions, etc.

GOD! I want a RHD so bad.

ummn not to disrepect but whats the big deal with a RHD, its just you are driving on a different side. Don't see the big deal. Although I like your GTR is that even legal?
