Default gsr cams for b16?

do you think i should upgrade my b16a3 cams with some gsr cams? would it work and fit? i was wondering cuz my friend has some extra ones he said he give me for free

you wont see a great improvement with GSR cams

If there free why not, if you were to spend money I'd get CTR's.

i mean are they even worth putting on? would i have to upgrade any cams or valvetrain?

I think you only need to upgrade the springs and retainers when using type r.

But if I got a free set of GSR cams I'd put them in for sure.

I threw a set of GSR cams in my b16a, but I also moved the VTEC engagement point to match that of the GSR ecu.

The GSR cams have slightly longer intake durations than the B16 cams IIRC. So you will make some gains... but honestly I don't think it's enough to be worth the labor.

as far as the butt dyno goes, it felt a little quicker...I only threw the Sir-G cams in cause I got them for free.
