Default Front intercooler, cold air intake

What is your thoughts about a cold air intake that has a intercooler front box in the grill. Insted of the orginal cone air filter?

What does happen when water gets into the engine? It just doesn't combust and takes awhile to go threw the system?

i think they work awsome.. just really have to look out for the water situation more than the normal cold air intake due to the fact that it really is sitting right out in front.

Might wanna use one of those AEM bypass valves.

on the other hand.. u'r probly not going to notice a difference, so save u'r money & go turbo!

They had it on Horsepower TV, got some good dyno numbers, but just stick with your standard CAI, not worth the hassle it might cause you

Why would you want to give the impression that you have boost?

People look for that to try to pick you out for a race...

and like RUNNING 925 said, you basicaly can't drive in the rain...

And I've heard several times that the AEM bypass valves SSSUUUCCCKKK...

Stories about parts being sucked into throttle body...nasty schize...

So you want to use an actual FMIC as an itake? The intercooler is probably 150-250$ and you probably wouldn't see much more gain than a regular cold air, which I wouldn't use anyway because I fear hydrolock.

I just wanted to see what people views were on them haha. I saw them on ebay looking for a intercooler for a good price. What is hydrolock? Just water getting up in the engine?
