It wont break anything if you only do it once in a while.

I actually broke down and bought an Altima battery for my Civic because I kept forgetting to turn my running lights off, and it was well worth it because that thing just wont die.
I left my lights on for 9 hours once and the car started right up.

turn the car on, even though it wont turn over. put it in gear, roll down a hill and pop the clutch/ release it fast.

Jump start

Push start

The Civic will usually start really easy. Make sure you try to start as soon as you can and don't run out of hill. If you don't get it started, you'll still have some hill left to try again.

I ended up crushing my left leg in my front bumper and a jeeps rear bumper trying to pop start my car. It started rolling and I thought I could hold my car back on a hill and yea... the ER loves me.

Did you mean an Optima Battery or from a Nissan Altima battery? Because I had an Optima Red top battery and just left my car there for almost a week and the car had troubles starting. Took the battery to Autozone and got it tested and it was dead. I ended up getting the Optima Yellow top and hope it can last.
