Default Battery or alternator

I cant tell if my alternator is bad or if it just the battery, My alternator is only a year old but my battery is about three. I can pop start or jump start the car but then after driving it for about 5-10 miles the car dies. This is the second time I have had this problem last time I replaced the alterantor and now I just dont know what to do.

Please help

Sounds like the alternator cannot keep your car going.

take the battery with you to get checked too. Why waste a trip when you could test 'em both at once?

it's the alternator but there could be a short somewhere that is killing your alternator in the process.

dont need to take off the alternator, just drive it to autozone they can check both the batery nd the alternator while they are on the car, and its free

All they do is go through a summit, jc whitney, etc magazine and charge extra so they can make money, or go online and order it offline, that's how a lot of performance part shop works.

I had the battery tested and it was bad so i replaced it, hooked it up started the car, unhoocked the batery and the car stayed running. Drove the car for a few days and not it is not working again.
