nos for 00si...help

Default nos for 00si...help

have a 2000 si ....
have an intake and exhaust and headers on the way.. new spark plug wires and ngk plugs.recently installed....
i dont want to change pistons and rods and go full out all enhanced..

i was thinkin like a 35 shot . driving an si with a small shot on my friends car and am looking to get that little bit of power. can you guys make some suggestinos for a small shot that doesnt require tons of mods and wont be so harmful to my engine...wet /dry ??? anything will help....any self expierenced nos guys out there??
direct? single fogger? dry?

i dont know if its a must to retard the timing is it?

first off its header..you only have one....and if you get a step colder plugs I would say a 50 shot is not out of the question....there is a huge NOS write-up that if you search for it it will answer all your questions and then some.

I didnt mean for it to come off dickish...I just ment that oc_civic did a huge comprehensive write up and I am sure it will answer all your questions about what shots and what management are associated :goodjob:

hey man im just happy someone responded..lol but thanks for the info

so far in my research i come up with the fact that for a 50 shot i would have to retard the timing 2 degrees...and dont have to do any upgrades to the engine...besides my i e... so im gonna chec k out his post to see if it has anything about the process of retard timing

You should still do a compression and leakdown test to make sure the motor can handle it, how many miles are on it?

compression test will suffice...no need for a leak down unless the compression test shows a low cylinder.

there is 63000 miles on a 2000 si .....do i still need to do a compression test?..why wouldnt the motor be able to handle it?
