Default only 22 mpg!

for my most recent tank of gas i decided to see how much i could squeeze out of my d16. the whole week i kept it below 3k rpm accelerating sloowwllyy and this is what i'm rewarded with??? maybe its cuz i'm always on the gas. i remember awhile ago i'd drive aggressively and get 20 mpg.

is this a decent real world number?!!?

35 psi all around brand new kumho 712s

honda did the 30k. . .but they didnt attach a spark plug wire tight enough and it fell off causing a misfire so they're service is questionable

That's about what I get. It goes up to 25-26 with mixed driving and some highway miles when I'm not flooring it all the time. I've been keeping mileage records since early July, and not once has it touched 30mpg. I'm going to raise the tire pressure to 40psi all around and go nice and slow to see how much I can get. That or take a long trip on the highway and set the cruise control to 70 in the slow lane.
