fuel filter

Default fuel filter

I have been trying to change my fuel filter but cant get the bottom where it connect to the line of. I used tonnes of penetrating lube but still nothing. any of you guys have this problem? what did you do?

i had that problem...i just kept spraying WD-40 every ten minutes for about an hour...and then it came right off...

try using like a breaker bar...haha just be careful not to break any thing...you may have to cut the lines and get new ones if its that bad

I don't know if I was lucky or if I just waited long enough after spraying the bolt with penetrating fluid. I used two wrenches; one on the top of the filter to hold it in place and another on the bottom to loosen the bolt.

I would strongly recommend using a flare nut wrench on that fitting bolt, not just an open-end one. It'll give you a better grab, but also keep you from rounding the fitting bolt.

two flare nut wrenches and some penetrating lue did the trick on mine.

Flare nut wrenches for sure. You'll be surprised what the right tool for the job will do.
