Default Eric's (Raiden's) New Motor! pix inside (b-swap)

hey guys, not sure if your aware of it but Eric finally bought his motor & it was a perfectly good b18b with all the obd1 parts on it & it was mated to a GSR tranny. We've begun the project by tearing some parts off of it. This will be a winter project that should a Forged B18b with a nice size turbo slaped on there. Here's a couple pix from when we started workin on it tonight.

*yes, thats eric's happy azz in the pix!

Yes....yes....the dark side he has joined. I've been pondering buying a b18b and putting it on a stand and building it just because it's cheap and I've seen but ONE built B18b swap. So there's originality points there.

Why don't you throw the old shots of your car up here while you're at it.

That's exactly what I want to do. I find myself up late nights, browing motor stores and ebay. Thinking of how all I really want is a hot tanked, powdered, painted, polished, whatever'd, engine. Screw body mods, I'm a sucker for purdy engines. And I think I'm going to go with a b18b, but then the thing is I have no car to put the thing in, and the Navy boys, snatch up every EG hatch in south eastern CT. Then a month later they got body kits, wings, euros...the things I've seen....the horror.

haha. ive rebuilt a dirbike engine in my bedroom. but i dont wannt have to carry a b18 up too my bedroom.
i cleaned the intake manifold tonight and ported it out. i took off all the sensors, etc. then used engine brite on the whole thing and scrubbed it really well. i then put it in a bucket and and scrubbed it with kerosine to clean out all of the runners. i dried it, sandblasted the inside of the runners, plenum and the outer housing. the thing looks brand new.
i claned the dizzy, starter and polished one of my mounts.
i cant wait to start buying more parts and reassemble this thing
