Default Dynamat

Thinking highly of getting Dynamat, whats your opinion/ advice with this stuff? I have been in 2 civics with dynamat and you can tell an inprovment. Im not really concerned about weight. If i was then i wouldnt be adding power windows/locks/mirrors to the car. Plus dynamat is like .3lbs per sq/ft.

I was looking on ebay and they have some 36sq/ft boxes of dynamat for like $89+shipping...then there are all the other cheap ass brands, but one called b-quiet. Should i stick with the real Dynamat and be done...with knowing ill get a good brand.

Lastly approx how much do you think ill need. My interior is totally out, in the CX hatch. Im planning on the entire floor/trunk/ inside door panels/ hatch/rear seat areas below windows. Probably about 50SQ/ft or more?

Dynamat is awesome! You totally notice the difference, ride is quieter, and the bass sounds nice and clean. However it is a pain to put in. you have to clean the surface so it sticks better, and once you lay it down, it?s not coming off. I would stick with dynamat. I got the 36sq/ft pack for my 97 civic 2 dr and I had enough to do the entire front doors, rear side panels, rear panel (where 6x9?s are), and most of the trunk. I don?t know about doing the floors. It?s possible, but I don?t think it?s necessary, plus it?s just too much work. I didn?t cover every square inch, but I was able to cover the areas that used to rattle and make annoying sounds. Also in my experience, when I took out the interior panels and put them back in, the dynamat made it much harder to put in. it was such a pain trying to put the panels on, cuz they don?t snap in anymore, it?s really frustrating. I ended up breaking a handful of the panel fasteners. You might want to get some extras, there not expensive.

I need to do my trunk. What is the bare minimum to cover? Just the trunk lid?
