Default Belt Squeaking

Ok, Well after my car sits for a few hours and i start it up. I hear a pretty loud squeak on the driver side of the engine. I know it's a belt just dont know which one. Has this happened to anyone and what belt was it to fix it? It's pretty embarassing to start up my car after my car sits for awhile. So if I could get some help, I'd appreciate it.

The tension in your belts (one or all of the accessory belts) could be a little too tight. I had this happen before, but im not positive that is your problem. Your best bet would be to take it to a trustworthy mechanic and have them take a look. goodluck

could be AC, power steering, or Alternator.

The timing belt doesn't normally sqeak. Just change them if they look bad

Exactly, timing belt will never squeak. You will definitely know when that goes bad. You really dont want to experience it though. Just see if any of the other belts look worn to you or stretched too tight. If that's the case, go to Discount auto parts and buy all OEM fitment.
