Ive been offered to pick up a 93 del Sol wit just a stock motor in it....If I do purchase it id want to do a swap for a b16.....now ive been told to find a b16A cause it will fitt better in the del Sol....or something like that...is this true or wil any b16 past or present fit will little effort? Pros-Cons any other suggestions for an engine swap into a del Sol
all b16 engines are basically the same. YOu'll need one with a hydro transmission, the b16b if far superior to the b16a but it comes with a price tag. Just get a second gen kdm b16a
for one the del sol is an awesome car. the b16a is the best way to go being that there cheap and easy to find. just if you do get it and do the swap make sure it is a 2nd gen motor or you'll have to buy a new wiring harness ( not always so cheap).
I plan on doing a b16a swap i was about to rebuild my engine but that got to expensive. (as i hear from u guys), but I did more research and yes you guys are right and the b16 is the cheapest way to go if you want the HP. My say and Input by the b16a and swap it.
b18b's (LS) are cheaps swaps you can readily find in junk yards...its up to you and your future plans for the car...boost...bottle...or super charger...the plus with the b16 is VTEC...
I say swap in a D16z6 motor, if it does not already have one, and boost that thing. You will have a lot more fun in a sol w/ a boosted D than a bone stock b16
