Del Sol Subs question
I'm thinking of getting subs for my del sol and am wondering what kind of subs you guys have and how much trunk space you have left in your car. Were there any problems you had with installing them? Thanks.
Boston makes a fully assembled box with either one or two 10" Competitor subs, each with a passive radiator on the back side (a flat woofer with no motor structure). The boxes are TINY... the single sub box is roughly 12" wide, 10" deep and 12" tall... and the double box only being about 25" wide. These things really POUND and play LOUD, while staying tight and clean.
Model #'s C110 or C210
They also have pre-fabbed boxes containing Generator series subs... which also sound AMAZING.
I suggest these boxes because of the incredible box construction... they are built like a tank!

I've got 2 JL's in the trunk. 12's. They sound nice with the 1200 watt amp I have. I used to push em with a crappy 300 watt crunch amp, and they sounded good. I just don't like having to max out an amp. The only problem with my setup is that I can only get a set of gold clubs in my trunk, nothing more. Well, maybe a shirt. lol
This winter I will alsoo be installing 3 10's behind my seats.
IMO the best place for subs is in the cabin. Trunk subs sound ok, but don't compare. It wouldn't be so bad if it werent for all the sheetmetal seperating the trunk from the cabin
