Default shocks

ONLY RESPOND TO THIS IF YOU AHVE HAD YOUR SHOCKS MORE THAN A YEAR!!!!

I have tokico blues, and I HATE them with a passion. They rode great for about 3 months, and then blew. I'm riding on WeaponR coilovers. Almost identicle to Skunk's. So, I'm dropped about 2.5 inches all around, and I'm sick of crappy shocks. I'm thinking KYB's, Koni yellows, or Illuminas. Lots of people said to get blues, so I figured, for the price, why not? Got em, loved em, now hate em. So, after a year or riding on your suspension, who likes what? What stands up to HARD driving, and coilovers? Thank you to all the people with EXPERIENCE!

I'll be honest, I havent had my shocks for over a year yet [Koni Sport (yellow)], but they are great mated to my Neuspeed Race [yellow] with a 2.5 drop. [non adjustable progressive rate] The externally adjustable feature is a plus too for easy and quick convient access.

The blues are decent shocks, but Im guessing you probably bottomed out on them a lot being so low. The Koni Sport yellows can make you lower by lowering the spring perches instead of sacrificing shock travel.

I highly recommend the Koni Yellows if you can afford them. KYB AGX and Tokico Illuminas are great for the price too, most of my friends have been running those for 1-2 years without hassle.

I had illuminas for about a year and a half. I was satisfied with the ride and adjustability. I autocrossed on them for one summer (maybe ten events) and did lots of parkinglot tuning and hard driving, had no reliablility issues at all.

I have the koni yellows now, and the damping is noticably better, and the adjustability is better. Ive only had them on for about a month tho, so no word on reliablity, although there is a warranty on them.

Well I've had my Tokico Blues for almost 2 years and I think that they're great. I have them mated with my OG skunks and my car's been lowered 2.25" and it's been like that ever since I got the shocks and I haven't had any problems with them.

My friend with Koni Yellows has them on his EF and he's had them for more than three years and til this day he loves them. And his car is dumped rolling on 15's (I think about a 3" drop, or more).
