Which ECU, shifter, radiator... and some other ?
Hey guys, have the 97 cx here. Im doing the ls swap with GSR tranny then going with a turbo later on. After the turbo it will be tuned with hondata as well.
But so far im trying to get the little parts before i order the motor and tranny. The cx radiator seems sooo tiny, will i be able to fit the integra radiator in there? Using no ac here as well, may add power steering or might leave it off as well.
After the swap, which catback would i use? I have a 5 ziegen(sp) catback on my civic now, can i use that or get a LS catback and headers?
I have to use the GSR linkage then also correct? So meaning i cant keep my skunk2 shifter from the civic?
And lastly which ECU would be best? It will be mostly stock until the turbo which will probably happen about a year after i swap so i can save up money.
And i can get the LS motor (0bd2) for $800 and the GSR tranny for $950 for a total of $1750 from a place in NJ called JDM Motors INC. I had a few friends buy motors from them and we are buying a motor for our GEO as well from them. Does $1750 seem decent? I know $800 isnt that bad for the motor but that is a kinda high price on the tranny...no?

del sol/auto ex dual core is fine - $100 at any parts store (cheaper on ebay)
Exhaust is chassis specific, not engine. Header, singular. Not headerS, plural - you have 1 set--and it needs to be for LS. If youre going turbo, just get a used oem for cheap. Also, for turbo, you will want something minimum of 2.5" exhaust diameter.

That price to me, seems like a giant rip off...but thats because i paid $200 for my ls longblock. If you get an engine from a junkyard, it will be cheaper.
