Civic problem
Hello Everyone
I have a 1991 honda civic (yes, I know, old) and I have been having alot of problems with it starting. Sometimes it works fine and sometimes it turns over but never actually starts.
I have replaced:
Fuel filter
distributor cap
Ignition coil
Spark plugs
It was working okay up untill today when It started its same ol' crap again.
I tested the spark plugs and they were getting a spark so its not the distributor or coil etc.. considering i replaced all that less than a week ago.
My neighbor who builds and races stock cars took a look at it and took the top off the injector and put gas right inside there and it wanted to start but still no start. He also took off the fuel hoses and looked to make sure all the fuel was getting through the places and what not, and it was. After he lookede at all that and put it back together it started right up!
All this pisses me off because I need that car to work at all times because I commute to college 4 days a week and need that car for not only that but work.. So it kinda needs to work more than most of the time.
Anyways he suggested that it was Vapor Lock.
So my question for everyone is what should I do about the vapor lock (IE how to get rid of it/prevent it etc..) and what should I look at as other underlying problems on this?
Please let me know
thanks a million everyone!!!!
