Before you go and get a starter, are you sure that is what your problem is? On civic likely culprets of not starting are main relay, coil, ignitor. Although it can be other things, these seem to be the most common.

What symptoms does the car give when it doesn't start? example: Does it only happen when it is hot out? When you turn you key to the on position, does the engine check light come on and go off after 2 seconds? Do you hear the fuel pump go on and off along with the engine check light. Does the engine check light stay on? Are you getting spark?

If you decide its the starter, its located on top of the transmission, left side (looking at the engine bay)
There are only a couple bolts, if I remember right, with some e- connectors
Very simple
