Air/Fuel wont work?!?!!?!?!?
Ok so i got and a/f gauge a long time ago and when i bought it i got it for dirt cheep cause it was damaged so when the guy put it in he said it wouldnt work well i got currios today so played with it. I moved where he had it... off the ecu.. to the actual o2 sensor and i actually got some reading from it. Well it wont read right, like it will jump all over the place like its not gettin a good connection. I tried just wraping the wire around the bare striped o2 wire and then i bought these little connecters. Neither one of those ways worked but if i wiggle the wires, that is when it will jump around. any help will be great thanks guys
No.... I know what its supose to look like ... But right now it just sits at rich... like the last block on the gauge. That is where its been sence its been in the car and when i messed with it today it finally had some type of reaction so i know the gauge works but it wont stay working... basicly i need to kno a good place to hook it up at and what the best way to splice it into it.. thanks
I had a similar problem with my autometer phantom a/f gauge. it seemed to allways sit on the first (left) light and never move from there unless I jiggled the wire, then it would just give random readings. Someone told me that some gauges work in the range of 0-1 volt and some work from -1 to 0 volts. This seems like it would cause the problem I am having. I tried it on 3 different hondas connected straight to the O2 sensor.
Well i thought that is what it was but when i got into my car to start driving to school it worked off and on all the way to school... if it wasnt working today it was completely blank as if it wasnt gettin any power, but i know it was... i dont know i htink im just goin to solder it and let it be cause as long as its getting a good connection it works great.... thanks for you guys help....
