Has any one ever swapped a rsx type s 6 speed transmission into a 98 integra or know of it ever being done?

it can be done but it is $$$$$ since the K series spin the opposite direction of the B series. It would be cheaper to buy the straight cut 6 speed...hell it would prob be cheaper to do the K swap.

well, my main goal is to get a 6 speed into my integra regardless of the exact transmission. My b18 is already built so I'll pass on the k swap.

You won't get a six speed in there for less then $6k.

An extra gear isn't worth it, considering most people want the 6th gear for the "unique" BS bragging factor.

My thing isn't about bragging. I race distance and haveing that 6th gear will increase my top speeed and help improve my gas(Lower rpms, less fuel).

what do u mean by u race distance? if its a road course track and your racign a 12hr, then u dont need to even get near 5th gear. if your dragging, then thats just retarded, and if your rally racing, using an integra would be pointless. if ur looking for top speed, use the ls transmission, its the longest geared b series tranny

distance as is 10hr - 15hr raod courses and when on straights I hit the top end before I hit the next curve. The cars I normally race are normally quicker than me and this is where I get stomped into the ground. I'm already racing the ls transmission. I top out at around 180 at 9500rpms.

The only american race is the all nighter and it's a desert race in arizona. There's no specific course, normally laied out two weeks prier to the race giving us two weeks to run the course. I normally run in italy, greece, and france at their night circuits. I haven't ran this year yet as I've been doing alot of work to my car.
